- We Can! (Ways to Enhance Children's Activity and Nutrition) This website is part of a collaborative national program by the National Institute of Health to help children stay at a healthy weight. The program focuses on three key elements: improved food choices, more physical activity, and less 'screen' time
- 2006 Obesity Report - Published by the Trust for America's Health, this report contains data on each state's obesity, Type II Diabetes and Hypertension, and outlines several important factors contributing to obesity. California was ranked 30th amongst the 50 states for obesity. The report also highlights trends in behaviors that contribute to obesity, as well as highlights ways to overcome and prevent it. Physical activity is at the top of the list!
